We are seeking a knowledgeable cybersecurity engineer with a robust background with Palo Alto networks to provide creative security solutions for our growing network infrastructure. This role will work collaboratively with various business units to identify threats and create and develop solutions to ensure proactive safeguards.

This role is critical to ensure the sanctity of our patient data and helps us to provide worry free patient diagnostic care.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position demonstrates moderate to advanced technical knowledge of Enterprise infrastructure and communications processes supporting system defined objectives relative to the company’s business and requirements. Leads the team on small projects with average to moderate complexity as well as working as a team member to plan, design, implement, and support required Information Technology cybersecurity operations; particularly firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and cloud-based security infrastructure. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Advanced knowledge of the tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) used by threat actors while disrupting their activities with cybersecurity defenses

  • Advanced knowledge to synthesize and analyze vulnerability and threat data from a variety of sources to provide actionable intelligence then advising relevant stakeholders on appropriate courses of action

  • Moderate knowledge of network routing, protocols, switching connectivity and its relationship to cybersecurity

  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity infrastructure architecture and daily operations (e.g., instantiation; decommissioning; performance monitoring/tuning)

  • Persuasive communication skills necessary to collect essential information, answer questions, and direct interactions to positive outcomes in a professional and courteous manner

  • Strong verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Strong customer service orientation; problem ownership and driving timely resolution

  • Working in a 24/7/365 environment .

  • Foster a team environment through transparency and collaboration

  • Work with minimal to no supervision while providing proactive updates to the leadership team

  • Context switch while still delivering on commitments

  • Make suggestions for process, implementation, and performance improvements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of four (4) years’ relevant education and/or technical experience.

  • Four (4) years’ relevant experience configuring cybersecurity systems and devices to include firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filters

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced team members

  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple activities

  • Demonstrated excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience configuring, operating, optimizing and sustaining security infrastructure devices including F5 appliances and Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls

  • Possess one or more of the following cybersecurity certifications: CompTIA Security+; CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+); CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+); Cisco Certified Network Associate – CCNA exam 200-301; Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and securing Cloud-based services

  • Experience with scripting and programming languages Powershell and/or Python

  • Experience using ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred)
